LIBYAPROSPECT – Tripoli

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) welcomed, on Friday, the consultations initiated by the Security Arrangements Committee (SAC) with armed groups in the capital city, Tripoli, and beyond, the last being the city of Tarhuna, to receive buy-in and ensure a smooth implementation process.

The UNSMIL urged the Presidential Council (PC) to expedite the implementations of the Security Arrangements to achieve securing Tripoli and the areas around it.

It is worth mentioning that the SAC had announced that the leaders and representatives of Tarhuna had accepted to commit to the cease-fire agreement that was signed by the warring factions in the city of Zawya under the supervision of the UNSMIL.
