Efforts to end the crisis in South-Eastern Tripoli



Sources from the south-eastern area of Tripoli told LIBYAPROSPECT, on Tuesday, that some clashes restarted again afternoon between the Seventh Infantry Brigade (SIB) and the battalions of Al-Nawasi and Tripoli Revolutionaries.

The sources said that the clashes occurred in the area of Ain Zara behind the Al-Yarmouk camp, which was occupied by the SIB.

Military sources said that the talks about handing over the military buildings and checkpoints to Tripoli Security Directorate continued on Tuesday.

The sources stated that the SIB had controlled Al-Yarmouk camp after heavy clashes in the area since Sunday.

In the context, the leader of Tripoli Revolutionaries Battalion, Jalal Al-Wersheffani, said that all military vehicles were pulled back from the clashes area axis. He added that the SIB had returned to the area of Qasr Ben-Gheshir.

Al-Wersheffani stated that it was agreed to hand over the military camps to the Security Directorate of Qasr Ben-Gheshir and the army that affiliated with the army area of Tripoli.

In another context, the member of the Presidential Council (PC) of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Ahmed Mitig, said that the GNA is still in Tripoli and working with all ministries and their administrations to find a quick solution to end the crises.
