The head of the State Council, Khaled El-Meshri, met with the deputy UN envoy to Libya, Stephanie Williams, and talked about the developments in the economic reforms in Libya.
The two sides discussed the significance of running the constitution referendum and activating the dialogue committee that gathers members of the State Council and the House of Representatives (HoR) in the context of addressing the political blockage.
In another context, El-Meshri and the head of the Presidential Council (PC) of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez Al-Sarraj agreed on the importance of respecting the democratic route and holding the general elections in the existence of the good constitutional base.
El-Meshri and Al-Sarraj talked, on Tuesday, about the plan of reforming the economic situation to support the stability and end the Libyan citizens’ suffering in coordination with the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) and the other stakeholders.
