The member of the House of Representatives (HoR), Ali Al-Takali, said that the HoR members couldn’t go to the meeting hall because some protesters refuse the voting on the referendum law.

Al-Takali added that the HoR members are still in their residence place waiting for the good time to go to the meeting.

It is essential to mention that the spokesperson of the HoR, Abdulla Bleheg, said, last week, that the HoR had discussed the item of dividing the country into three consistencies.

Bleheg stated that the HoR had talked about some controlling regulations and provisions for the voting operation for the sake of getting the most integrity and transparency to protect the referendum operation from counterfeiting.

Last week, the HoR called its members to convene on Monday and Tuesday to vote on the law. The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) expressed its happiness for the HoR decision to meet. The UNSMIL pointed out that the International Community is following up the process with great attention for the sake of coming to a bright democratic future in Libya.

It is worth mentioning that the leading political Libyan sides, the head of the HoR, Ageela Saleh, the head of the State Council, Khaled El-Meshri, Al-Sarraj, and the commander of the Dignity Operation, General Khalifa Haftar, agreed in Paris, on 29 May, to prepare for the general elections in December.
