LIBYAPROSPECT – Tripoli
The Qatari Embassy in Tripoli offered condolences to the Libyan people and the inhabitants of the city of Misrata on the loss of the mayor of Misrata, Mohamed Eshtewi.
From its side, the Turkish ambassador to Libya, Ahmed Doghan, condemned the killing of Eshtewi. He hoped to find arrest the killers very soon and hand them over to the Libyan judgment.
It is worth mentioning that Eshtewi was kidnapped and killed on Sunday after he arrived at the airport of Misrata from Turkey.
The member of the municipality of Misrata, Ali Abu-Setta, had revealed that an armed group kidnapped Eshtewi and took him to an unknown place where he was shot dead. Then the killers had thrown his body in front of one of the health centres in Misrata.
