LIBYAPROSPECT – Tripoli
The head of the Presidential Council (PC) of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez Al-Sarraj, met, on Thursday, with the French Foreign Minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian.
The meeting was attended by the Foreign Minister of the GNA, Mohamed Seyala, the political advisor, Taher El-Sonni, the French Ambassador to Libya, Brigitte Curmi, and other French and Libya officials.
The meeting talked about the developments in the political situation in Libya. It also talked about the prospects of the French-Libyan cooperation and the issues of the political situation in both countries.
Al-Sarraj praised the efforts of France for achieving stabilisation in Libya, adding that his last visit to Paris stressed the activation of the Political Agreement to prepare for holding the general elections in the coming year.
Al-Sarraj stated that the political scene would be confused if some Libyan sides insist on obstructing the efforts of keeping the Political Agreement active.
