Buira accuses personalities of seeking their interests

The member of the House of Representatives (HoR), Abu-Bakr Buira, revealed the presence of personalities looking for achieving their own interests. He added that these personalities had spoiled the political dialogue since 2015.

Buira said in a press release, on Monday, that some interlocutors want to exclude the army from the scene while others want to ban the Presidential Council. He confirmed the dialogue sessions would return but won’t come to any outcomes because there are deep disputes.

Buira said that the current situation of the dialogue in Tunis wouldn’t achieve any clear consensus. He pointed that the commander of the Dignity Operation, General Khalifa Haftar, said explicitly that the dialogue is not the only way to end the Libyan crisis.

Buira added that the United Nations Envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, talked about the problem of the personal interests that disrupts the current political scene. He stressed that if the political leaders didn’t come to an accord, it would be difficult to come to a solution.
