Bash-Agha: The HoR army is not accepted

The boycotting member of the House of Representatives (HoR), Fathi Bash-Agha, said that there is not an official army in Libya as the other stable countries. He described what so called an army affiliated to the HoR on the eastern side of Libya as a regional one.

Bash-Agha clarified, in a press release, that the real army should be formed to include soldiers and officers from all Libyan regions, adding that its loyalty must be to Libya and Libyans only.

Commenting on the commander of the Dignity Operation, General Khalifa Haftar, who tries to become the president of Libya, Bash-Agha refused to accept any person imposes himself to become the ruler of the country only through the general elections.

It is worth mentioning that Haftar told the British Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson, weeks ago, that he wouldn’t leave the military uniform only to become the President of Libya.

In another context, Bash-Agha said that the meeting that gathered Misrata delegation with the notables of the eastern side of Libya in Cairo, week ago under the supervision of the Egyptian Committee of the Libyan issue would strengthen the confidence to move forward to achieve the national reconciliation.
