MRCL welcomes The Hague statement

The Movement of Return to Constitutional Legitimacy (MRCL), in the city of Zliten, welcomed, on Tuesday, the statement of The Hague that talked about returning the constitutional legitimacy.

The Hague statement stressed that the only way to end the crises in Libya is by coming to a consensus on the principles of the constitutional legacy.

The MRCL hoped that what was announced in the statement becomes a real revision to avoid repeating the mistakes and to look for the basis of the consensus between all factions.

The MRCL pointed that bringing back the constitutional legitimacy wouldn’t happen only by reactivating the legitimate constitution, including its monarchy system, which was deactivated by the coupists in Sep 1969 under the leadership of Muammar Gaddafi.

It is worth mentioning that the two committees of the State Council and the House of Representatives (HoR) issued a statement, on Sunday after their meeting in The Hague, stressing that there must be an end of the long time transitional period in Libya. The two committees pointed that the Government of the Netherland worked transparently with all Libyan sides and the international participants.

The two Libyan sides agreed that it is necessary to come to a political solution to end the conflicts and renounce violence. They stressed that the Libyan Political Agreement is still the best to meet the demands of the Libyan people and to bring the peace and stability as well as the national reconciliation.
