LIBYAPROSPECT – Ankara
The Tunisian Foreign Minister, Khamis Al-Jhinaoui, talked, during his visit to Turkey, about the initiative of the Tunisian President, Beji Caid Essebsi, that aims to find a comprehensive solution to the crisis in Libya.
Essebsi’s initiative was adopted by the three foreign ministers of Tunisia, Algeria, and Egypt in their meeting last February.
Al-Jhinaoui told the Turkish TV that the Libyan crisis is one of his country’s concerns because Tunisia and Libya are two countries of one united people. He added that whatever happens in Libya reflects directly in Tunisia, politically and economically as well as the security in Tunisia.
Al-Jhinaoui stressed that the crisis in Libya wouldn’t be solved militarily, clarifying that the Libyan issue is on the agenda of his meetings with the Turkish officials. He stated that Tunisia is not supporting one side against any others in Libya.
