Al-Sharkasy vows to continue fighting

The commander of Benghazi Defense Brigades (BDB), Mustafa Al-Sharkasy, said that his forces include brigades 12 and 303 infantry that affiliated with the Defense Ministry of the Government of National Accord (GNA), besides supporting the forces of the civil revolutionaries who fought against Gaddafi forces on March 19th, 2011.

He added, in statements, that his troops are getting support from Benghazi-based businesspeople and other Libyan cities, but mostly from Benghazi merchants, they also get support from the revolutionaries’ brigades in stable cities. He added that “some affiliates with Haftar selling them weapons from Gaddafi storage.”

“Our forces got missiles they hadn’t before, directed anti planes missiles, which are better than the ordinary like the 23s,” he said.

Al-Skarkasy vowed to continue the military operations, saying that “we will have other rounds, after seizing the ports, other revolutionary groups joined us, we are better than before, I will not tell when or where we will move, but it is very soon.”

Regarding the possibility to reach the reconciliation for a role to Khalifa Haftar, Al-Sharkasy said that “this guy will either be imprisoned or fall by our hands, he has to leave for spoiling political life, he ruined our joy following the revolution, we consider him as a war criminal and the responsible for all violations committed by his forces.”
