LIBYAPROSPECT – Benghazi
Forces affiliated with the army of General Khalifa Haftar had dug up the graves and burned and crucified the corpses of the killed fighters of Benghazi Shura Council (BSC).
Haftar’s forces did all that after the fighters of the BSC revolutionaries carried out the operation to secure the trapped families inside Ganfouda area and opened a safe path for them after nearly one month trapped with no water and food. It is essential to say that Haftar and his forces had refused the intermediations to release the families and secure them.
eyewitnesses stated that the militants of Haftar had dug the graves in the buildings “12”, where the BSC revolutionary fighters were hiding with their families.
The witnesses said that Haftar’s militants crucified the bodies on cars drove them in the city of Benghazi exactly as what Muammar Gaddafi’s regime did against the rebels in the 1990s.
sources from Benghazi said that one of the corpses was for the field commanders of the BSC revolutionaries, Jalal Makhzoum, who has been killed six days ago.
The commandos’ forces that affiliated to Haftar and led by the commander Wanis Abu-Khamada crucified Makhzoum’s body at the gate of commandos’ camp copying what Daesh did in the city of Sirte.
Haftar’s militants arrested about ten families were escaping from Ganfouda and killed fighters from the BSC in front of the families.
The reactions described what Haftar’s militants did something horrible and awful. It had shocked even many of Haftar’s supporters, especially because he calls his troops as a real and regular army.
Observers say that it is very sure that Haftar’s forces included regional militias and elements from the forces of Gaddafi’s battalions as well as other criminals or the so-called supporting forces.
It is worth mentioning that LIBYAPROSPECT received some photos show the crime of crucifying the bodies at the camp of the commandos, which is led by Abu-Khamada, and affiliated with Haftar.
The big question here is: How about the countries who support Haftar, such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Emirates? Will they keep supporting him? Do they still insist on changing the Political Agreement for the sake of imposing Haftar to become one of the political or army leaders?
