Political League in Misrata calls Al-Sarraj to apologise

The Political League in the city of Misrata reacted, on Saturday in a statement, to the statement of the head of the Presidential Council (PC) of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez Al-Sarraj, on the rioting that happened in Tripoli, Frida evening.

The members of the Political League called Al-Sarraj to withdraw his statement and apologise officially to the Libyans and the inhabitants of Misrata.

In the same context, an official source in Tripoli told LIBYAPROSPECT that the statement of the PC was issued by Al-Sarraj who didn’t inform the other PC members about it.

It is worth mentioning that there was a statement released on Friday under the name of the PC. The statement considered the live shooting against the demonstrators in the Martyr Square as an apparent breaking of international and local laws.
