Qasim: EU needs to take more concrete actions

The Naval Chief of Staff of the Presidential Council (PC) of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Ayoub Qasim, demanded the European Union (EU) and the African states to take all needed procedures to stop the illegal migration waves via the Libyan coast.

Qasim said, in media statements on Thursday, that “we made all efforts we can, given difficult circumstances Libya is going through, either politically or economically.” He also expressed his deep regret for the lack of the real European will to solve the migration crisis inside Libya.

The migration rates, according to Qasim, in constant increase, he also pointed to their inability to halt the “invasive” immigration waves.

“There is a need to change the prevailed culture and the black media controlling the central Africa, Europe should take concrete actions to fight the illegal migration,” said Qasim.
