Kobler meets Al-Swehly in Tripoli



The United Nations Special Envoy to Libya, Martin Kobler, said, on Tuesday, that positive change would emerge soon in Libya.

Following a meeting with the head of the State Council, Abdul-Rahman Al-Swehly, Kobler tweeted that in an interesting meeting with Al-Swehly in Tripoli, “we discussed the possible amendments to the Libyan Political Agreement (PA).”

Kobler also met the head of the Presidential Council (PC) of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez Al-Sarraj, earlier, and said that “another productive meeting with Al-Sarraj, we discussed the concert moves to move forward to unite the Libyans behind a political solution.”

In this regard, Kobler hold a closed meeting with the Tunisian Foreign Minister, Khamis Al-Jhenawy, in the headquarter of the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.

Reports said the meeting tackled the recent “Tunisia declaration”, signed on Feb the 20th in Tunisia, by the Foreign Ministers of Tunisia, Algeria, and Egypt under the auspices of the Tunisian President, Baji Caed Essibssi.

The Tunisian Minister said that the Tunisia declaration seeks to find the political solution to the Libyan crisis.
