LIBYAP|ROSPECT – Tripoli
The spokesperson for the Libyan Red Crescent, Mohamed Al-Misrati, said that the crews of the Libyan Red Crescent had recovered bodies of 87 migrants, the first week of this month.
The sea waves had thrown the bodies on the beaches of Zuwara, Janzour, Al-Khums, and Tajoura, west Libya, as well as Tobruk, east Libya.
Al-Misrati added that according to a report from the Libyan Red Crescent, Zuwara had received more than 50 bodies, which is the biggest number.
Al-Misrati confirmed that the crews of the Libyan Red Crescent are all Libyans, pointing that they are facing difficulties in dealing with hospitals that refuse to accept the human bodies. He also talked about the weak ability of the morgues that have no enough spaces for the bodies of the illegal migrants.
