The head of the Presidential Council (PC) of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Ahmed Mitig, called for the necessity of the establishment of an extended seminar to discuss the illegal migration, in Libya.
Mitig talked about the issue in a workshop organized by the Office of the Population Policies Studies at the Social and Economic Development Council, on Tuesday.
The workshop was attended by the general secretary of the Social and Economic Development Council, Fadel Lamen, and some experts in the issue of the illegal migration, in Libya.
Mitig said that the seminar must include international organizations interested in the matter to show them the how Libya is suffering from an influx of immigrants and the issue affects the Libyan society.
The workshop also talked about a study that was prepared by the council of social and economic development on the immigrant workers in Libya, which affect Libya economically, socially, in health, and security.
