Two IS leaders killed in Sirte



The spokesperson of the Operation “Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous,” Mohamed Al-Ghosry, confirmed that two leaders of the Islamic State (IS) were killed in the clashes of Friday evening.

Al-Ghosry said, in a press release on Saturday, that the two killed IS leaders are, Abu-Hudhaifa andAbu-Osama Al-Tunisi.

Al-Ghosry stated that four other IS leaders were wounded near Al-Jeeza Al-Bahrea axis after escaping from the district “Al-Manara” in central Sirte.

He pointed that Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous forces lost more 600 fighters since the beginning of the operations against the IS, adding that the wounded from Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous are more than 3000.

In the context, a source from the operation room of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous said that their forces had controlled the district “Al-Manara,” where the Islamic State (IS) elements were stationed.

The source clarified, on Saturday, this advancement had come after the progress of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous through all outlets that supported by the tanks attacks and American air raids on the locations of the IS.
