Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous thinks of appointing military leader

The spokesperson of the Operation “Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous”, Mohamed Al-Ghosry, said that his forces are thinking about appointing a military ruler on the city of Sirte after it is entirely liberated from the Islamic State (IS) group.

Al-Ghosry added that when the military leader is appointed, it would be the first for the Libyan forces to do so. He said that all of the cities that were liberated before appointed local councils under the administration of one civilian notable and another military.

It is worth mentioning that the forces of the Operation “Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous” controlled the district “1,” last Monday. Then the remnants of the IS elements are only surrounded in the last area, district “3” in central Sirte.

Last Wednesday, the head of the Presidential Council (PC), Fayez Al-Sarraj, visited Sirte for the first time since the beginning of the Operation against the IS. Al-Sarraj confirmed that his government would keep fighting them everywhere in Libya.
