Italy to provide field hospital for Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous



The Deputy head of the Presidential Council (PC) of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Ahmed Mitig, said that the Italian Government agreed to provide a field hospital to treat the wounded fighters of the Operation “Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous”, who are fighting against the Islamic State (IS) in the city of Sirte.

Mitig confirmed, on his Facebook page, that the Italian Government sent, on Sunday, a technical delegation under the leadership of the manager of the Army Hospital in Rome with military doctors and specialized personalities from the Italian Defense Ministry.

Mitig added that the delegation visited the field where to establish the hospital; confirming that there will be common Libyan and Italian committee to supervise processing the hospital and start to move it to Libya next few days.

Mitig stated that “we convened two days ago in Misrata and agreed to provide all needed support to let the hospital starts working as soon as possible to treat the injured and to follow up the wounded cases after coming from overseas treatments.”
