LIBYAPROSPET – Benghazi
Fourteen bodies have been discovered in the eastern city of Benghazi, the bodies remain unidentified and were found with bullet wounds in the heads.
The UN envoy to Libya, Martin Kobler, commented on the findings by saying that he was “shocked and dismayed by the summary execution,” he also classified this incident as a war crime.
The fourteen bodies were recovered in the area of Al-Laithi, the area that was captured by the forces loyal to the General Khalifa Haftar earlier this year.
Haftar’s military officials refused to comment on the incident but said that it is currently under investigation.
