Muslim Brotherhood: French presence is an act of war

The Libyan Muslim Brotherhood group denounced the French intervention, which is described as “blatant”, confirming that such acts have no legitimate basis but violate Libya sovereignty and international laws, regarding an act of war against the State of Libya to accomplish colonial ambitions that cause more chaos.

The statement of Wednesday called authorities to press the international community to stop all forms of intervention in Libya. The statement expressed resentment from France’s claim that its troops are only involved in counterterrorism operations while “we observe their fighter jets significant absence in stopping the Islamic State (IS) convoys moving safely from the city of Derna to the city of Sirte”.

The statement urged all revolutionaries and national forces to preserve gains of February revolution and unite in the face of some countries who attempt to exploit the current political divisions and weakness Libya to invite intervention directly or indirectly in”.
