Algeria and Italy call Libyans to face the challenges



Algeria and Italy called the Libyan factions to engage in comprehensive dialogue to face the political and security challenges in Libya.

The Minister of Magharebia, African, and Arab affairs, Abdul-Qader Messahel, and the Italian Foreign Affairs Minister, Paolo Gentiloni, talked, on Thursday, in Rome about the issue.

The Algerian Foreign Ministry clarified in a statement that Algeria and Italy talked about the latest events in Libya, expressing their satisfaction for implementing the Libyan Political Agreement (PA).

The statement called the Libyan sides to support the international political efforts through a comprehensive dialogue to help to end the political, economic, and security problems in Libya.

Regarding the migration issue, both sides confirmed that it is a regional problem and must be resolved through cooperation between the neighboring countries in the region.
