Al-Thinni calls for PA modification and Kobler refuses him



The head of the Interim Government in Al-Baida, Abdulla Al-Thinni, said on Wednesday, that the next step is to reopen the draft of the Political Agreement (PA) and form a committee of political talks in the House of Representatives (HoR).

He added that if the moderators of the PA agree, then some articles will be modified. According to a Libyan TV channel, Al-Thinni doesn’t refuse the formation of the Government of National Accord (GNA), and he accepts its members, but he called for the need of the endorsement of the HoR.

Al-Thinni criticized the claims of United Nations Special Envoy to Libya, Martin Kobler, who called for safe crossing for the city of Benghazi. Al-Thinni said that the International Community knows about the weapons and ammunitions that carried by the ships to Ansar Al-Sharia in Benghazi.

From his side, Kobler said that Al-Thinni Government in the Eastern side of Libya is not recognized internationally.

Kobler said that criticizing Al-Thinni’s comments. He also stressed, on Wednesday, that Al-Thinni is not the recognized Prime Minister of Libya.
