The spokesperson of the Libyan Staff of Navy, Colonel Ayoub Qasem, that the organisations that publish reports on smuggling the migrants always look for the weakest points to accuse.

According to a Libyan TV channel, Qasem added that the numbers of the illegal migrants to Europe are fictional figures, but in Libya, the numbers are limited because there is who tries to reduce the number by purpose.

He stated that the real numbers are over million migrants, pointing that Libya is a victim of the illegal migration, and there is gangs work in human trafficking.

Qasem added the Libya is ready to become the transit country but through legal ways if Europe agrees to open a bridge for the migrants.

He said that “we found migrants came from stable countries, politically and economically, such as South Africa, and the Libyan people are suffering from this in the meantime more than the illegal migrants do.”

He stated that all of the African countries became transit fields and sources of immigration, not only because of the poverty but because immigration is now related to the culture of the African people.
