Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous capture strategic locations



The Operation “Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous” forces recaptured strategic locations inside the city of Sirte following fierce clashes erupted on Friday morning and continued through the night of the same day.

The forces tightened their grip on the district “700”, clashed with the Islamic State (IS) snipers positioned on top different buildings, and captured IS weapons and machines, while air forces launched nine raids in 24 hours targeting the IS positions near Ouagadougou complex.

Seize from all sides, solid confrontations that left no space for terrorism to move, Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous forces imposed tight security siege around the strategic locations center of Sirte following clashes with the IS. Decisive hours from Friday dawn till the night, forces entirely controlled the district “700”.

Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous forces advanced towards Ouagadougou complex, where it clashed with the IS elements before the retreat to allow air forces to bomb the area and surroundings four times, heavy artillery demolished the complex which is most the IS fortified positions in Sirte.

In the same battles, Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous forces seized Tawela island and forced the IS elements to flee their locations and leave their weapons, as most of its elements were killed.

In the western axis, confrontations continued till forces fully recaptured the district “2”, Tawela area, research farm, so the “700” is finally free and safe.

According to media bureau, military engineering brigade is combing the area for mines and explosives. This is just one battle fought in Libya, hoping that Libya would be safe and secure very soon.
