Protesters in Tripoli have closed a number of main roads in protests at the continuous electricity outage and the worsening living conditions.
Witnesses state that the protestors from areas of Gargaresh, Gasr Bin-Ghesheer, Al-Sabaa, Tajoura, Al-Driby, and Ghot Al-Shaal areas burned tires to block the ways to their areas. The city’s main highway was closed.
Protestors demanded the Presidential Council (PC) to solve the electricity problems as outage lasts to 12 hours a day, provide liquidity in banks and deal with spiking prices.
The head of the PC, Fayez Al-Sarraj, promised in a televised speech, on Monday, to take steps to end the suffer from citizens.
