The Libyan Foreign Minister of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Mohamed Taher Siala, said that the Libyan forces don’t need human support in its fights against the Islamic State group (IS), noting that the GNA hasn’t demanded it.

Siala said in a joint press conference with his Belgian counterpart, Didier Reynders, in Brussels, that the forces of the Operation “Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous” are making progress in regaining Sirte. “The battle isn’t easy,” he added.

The operation’s media bureau announced that an IS fighter was killed, and other two were injured as their car bomb hit a land mine before reaching a location of Al- Bunyan Al- Marsous forces.

The operation also announced the launch of its affiliated media outlet “Al- Bunyan Radio” from Sirte, on Thursday, to cover the city and surrounding areas. It is expected to follow up on the fight against the IS in Libya.
