“Al-Bonyan Al-Marsous” controls Sirte port


The Operation “Al-Bonyan Al-Marsous” spokesperson, Mohamed Al-Ghasry, said that his troops are completely controlling Sowawa area and Sirte port after fierce clashes, Friday night, against the Islamic State (IS) fighters inside Sirte.

He added that the forces reached the third and first residential districts in the city of Sirte, which are full of the IS snipers above residential buildings overseeing the sea.

From its side, “Al-Bonyan Al-Marsous” media bureau said that air forces chamber launched 150 attacks against the IS positions inside and around Sirte, since Bo-Grain attack, last month.

“Al-Bonyan Al-Marsous” air forces commander, Mukhtar Fakron, said that his troops carried out 600 air raids since the IS controlled Sirte, last year. He added, on “Al-Bonyan Al-Marsous” Facebook page, his forces targeted the IS machines, vehicles, and arms warehouses inside the city.

Fakron revealed that vertical air forces participated for the first time in clashes against the IS, stressing that they will be so effective in fighting the group inside Sirte.

From another side, a source from Misrata Central Hospital said that the hospital received 35 injured and 11 deaths from “Al-Bonyan Al-Marsous” forces, Friday, following clashes against the IS, all injuries are minor.

“Al-Bonyan Marsous” forces announced, Thursday, that it freed civilians were captured by the IS in Sirte.
