“Al-Bonyan Al-Marsous” advances in Sirte


The head of Operation “Al-Bonyan Al-Marsous” media bureau, Ahmed Hadia, confirmed, on Wednesday, that his forces controlled Tagreft camp, Jalet camp, Buhady island and Gharebat bridge in Sirte.

Hadia told Al-Wasat website that “Al-Bonyan Al-Marsous forces waged massive offensive since early Wednesday, and advanced across all axis, targeted the Islamic State (IS) positions and camps around Zaafran island, and controlled Tagreft camp.”

He pointed that the military engineering and the joint forces from intelligence and anti-crime division were combing the area and dismantling mines and explosives.

“Al-Bonyan Al-Marsos” forces advanced towards Gharebat bridge, controlled Jalet camp and Buhadi island in Sirte after fierce clashes with the IS.

The Libyan air forces launched seven attacks against the IS positions around Buhadi island, targeted car bomb the group was about to use.
