Fiber optics cables cut in Tripoli


The Holding Company for Communications, in Tripoli, announced fiber optic cables linking eastern and western regions were cut, due to drilling and maintenance by Water and Sanitation    Company in Tripoli.

It said in a statement that the Libyan Phone teams are working to fix damaged cables in front of Tripoli medical center.

The eastern area saw volatility of communication services for “Libyana” and “Al-Madar Al-Jadid,” beside fluctuation and Internet outage that lasted for hours, since Sunday noon.

Linking the country with the fiber optics communication network is one of the most important infrastructure projects, and contribute to building the country electronically.
