The anti-migration authorities in Tripoli have arrested 203 African persons who were arranging to migrate illegally to Europe.
The Africans under arrest were caught inside an abandoned house in Al-Heshan, east Tripoli early Sunday morning, and taken to the nearest police station. Other tens of different nationalities detained in a nearby house.
A police officer uncovered that raids took place after receiving information about a people smugglers preparing for travel towards Europe.
Many migrants taking off from Libya coast to Europe has increased this winter to reach 15 or 20 thousand in April, compared to few thousands in the same period of the past few years.
The International Organization for Migration stated that nearly 6000 migrants, mostly Africans, arrived in Italy in 4 days.
