Tunisia to host international meeting to support Libya, next month, with the presence of 15 financial institutions, regional and international organizations beside 40 Arab and foreign countries.

The Tunisian foreign ministry said in a statement, Sunday, that the meeting for international support, organized by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya and the United Kingdom embassy is held in Tunisia on 12 April, with the participation of 15 financial institutions, and regional and international organizations beside 40 Arab and foreign countries.

The meeting will be headed by the Tunisian foreign secretary, Khamis Jheynawi, who will make a speech confirming his country’s support to Libyans’ unity and the Government of National Accord (GNA) across all fields to respond to Libyans aspirations in security and stability.

The meeting follows the arrival of the unity government in Tripoli, headed by Fayez Al-Sarraj and brokered by the United Nations, to start its tasks despite opposition from different parties, especially in the east, where the House of Representatives (HoR) hadn’t endorsed the government yet, while the Salvation Government in Tripoli refused to hand over power.
