Foreign nursing staff in Al-Jala hospital in Benghazi threatened to suspend working if problems in transferring their money abroad weren’t solved.
The official in the media bureau at the hospital, Fadia Al-Barghathy, stated that the hospital addressed several banks but in vain. She added that money hasn’t been able to be transferred since last March.
Al- Barghathy stated that the foreign staff covers important spots in the hospital, including surgery and intensive care units.
More than 160 foreign nurses had quitted lately, which led to deteriorating health care.
