The Presidential Council (PC) member, Moussa Al-Kony confirmed, Sunday, that the Government of National Accord (GNA) is ready to go to Tobruk and meet the House of Representatives (HoR) if asked.
Al-Kony denied, to Sky News TV, any awaited meeting between the head of Presidential Council (PC), Fayez Al-Sarraj, and the head of the HoR, Ageela Saleh, in Tobruk.
“We were not informed about such meeting. But as you know, Saleh is the head of the HoR, and it is normal for us, as a unity government, to go to the HoR for discussions”, said Al-Kony.
Al-Kony confirmed that it is normal to discuss different matters with the HoR if asked, adding that the HoR didn’t respond to the new government formula despite modified upon its request, after refusing the first configuration, which he regarded “tacit approval”.
Al-Kony pointed that the PC will receive within two days the governmental headquarters in the capital Tripoli, and ministerial headquarters east of the country.
The HoR chairman Ageela Saleh previously asked the PC to appear in front of the HoR, expressing his readiness to cooperate with the government, provided that the army and commanders are not compromised.
