Al-Sarraj pledges to unite Libya’s institutions


After arriving in Tripoli by sea, the head of the Presidential Council (PC), Fayez Al-Sarraj, stated that the PC and the Government of National Accord (GNA) will work to unite the Libyan institutions and take measures to ease suffer of people and achieve national reconciliation.

Al-Sarraj asserted that the GNA will work in order to prevent shed of Libyan blood, resettling the displaced, and called for unity of Libyans’ efforts to fight the Islamic State group (IS). He said that the government bets on youth to defend Libya.

“It is time to look forward to future with forgiving spirit that trusts Allah. Libya is for all Libyans. Revenge, exclusion, and hatred don’t build nation”, he stated.

Al-Sarraj and some of the Presidential Council members arrived in Tripoli by sea in Abu-seta sea base welcomed by crowds. It is unknown yet from where will the GNA operate.
