Berlusconi calls for recruiting IS fighters

The ormer Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, called for recruiting the Islamic State group (IS) fighters within the Libyan army to prevent war.

Berlusconi stated that the IS group has only hundreds of fighters, while other 5 or 6 thousands are paid 1000 Euros a month, calling for their merging inside the Libyan army after agreeing to pay them 1300 Euros a month, Aki reported.

Berlusconi believed that such measure can prevent war and end the need to shell Libya.

He added that shelling Libya must not be sought as a solution as it has to be a last option, as war is wanted by weapons factories, he stated.
