Libyan Audit Bureau in Tripoli suspended a decision by the Minister of Labor and Qualification, Mohamed Belkher, to send 1600 trainees abroad in fields of plumbing, painting cars, welding, metal forming, and hotel services.
In a statement on Facebook, the Audit Bureau believed that the minister was incompetent and his decision contradicts with rationalizing spending being sought in the current circumstances.
It added that such decisions are clear violation of the state budget law, adding that it may load the treasury an additional financial burden that citizens and future generations will bear its brunt.
The Audit Bureau stated that it won’t allow such abuses and it will fight corruption wherever it is.
The decision of the minister sent 600 trainees to America, 600 to Germany, and other 400 to Malta.
