Upcoming Libya’s neighbors’ meetings in Tunisia

The Tunisian foreign ministry said that Libya’s neighboring countries are convening, on 22 March, and preparatory meeting for senior officials will be held on 21 March.

The Tunisian Foreign Secretary, Khamis Jhainawy, said 21 and 22 March meetings will be held in Tunisia to discuss the support for Libyan political process, and efforts to restore security and stability to Libya, and accelerate efforts to end the unity government formation.

Ministries of Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Sudan, Chad and Niger are participating in the meetings, as well as the secretary of the Arab League, representatives from European Union and African Union, and United Nations special envoy to Libya (UNSMIL).
