The spokesperson of the American state department, Nathan Neck, said that the international community needs an effective partner and the Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA) to deal with it, concerning the challenges in Libya.
In TV remarks, Neck said that the US has presented a proposal to the United Nations to impose sanctions on the Islamic State group (IS) supporters in Libya.
He added that his country won’t hesitate to hold quality operations against terrorists, stressing that Libya’s sovereignty will be respected, as no operations will be held without Libya’s permission.
Neck said that his country looks forward to resuming the political talks in Tunisia next week, stressing his country’s support for Libyans against terrorism.
He explained that some members of the House of Representatives (HoR) in Libya uphold their own agendas instead of the national agenda.
