The US Ambassador to Italy, John Phillips, said, Friday, that Italy intends to send 5000 troops to Libya, to secure the Libyan capital Tripoli and prevent the Islamic State group (IS) from controlling it.

Libya may witness an international military intervention against the Islamic State (IS), as some western special units arrived to the country and waged airstrikes against the group, coordination common chamber was established in Rome.
