Ghannouchi: We refuse any military intervention in Libya

The head of the Tunisian Nahda movement, Rashed Ghannouchi, refused any foreign intervention inside Libya, adding that he wished his security forces are the ones who carried out the military operation against the Islamic state (IS) in Libya.

He added, Sunday in press conference “we refuse any foreign intervention inside Libya”.

“we wished that the Tunisian security forces are the ones who executed the pre-emptive strike against the IS in Sabratha city, as the group was planning terrorist attacks against Tunisia”, Ghannouchi said.

United States launched airstrike targeted the IS training center in Sabratha out strikes, and killed about 50 persons, mostly Tunisian nationals. The raid targeted the IS Tunisia leader.

From another side, Ghannouchi didn’t rule out Nahda party name, adding “it could become, National Nahda, all party members will take the decision”.
