Forming a security committee in Benghazi


The retired general leader of the Libyan army affiliated to the House of Representative (HoR), Khalifa Haftar, ordered forming a security committee in Benghazi headed by the commander of the military area in Benghazi.

The committee formed to tighten security grip on the city is assigned to spread patrols inside the city, discipline gates and gather information about suspects.

The committee includes, Benghazi security administrator, commander of Benghazi military police, commander of military intelligence in Benghazi, commander of general intelligence in Benghazi, and the director of Benghazi internal security.

Haftar stressed that the committee has the freedom to communicate with the relevant authorities to facilitate their work.
