The Libyan navy in Tripoli released three Tunisian fishing boats, with 13 sailors on board, who were detained, last Friday, and accused of illegal fishing inside Libyan waters.
The spokesperson for Libyan navy in Tripoli, Ayoub Qassem, said that the release of the boats came in accordance with Libyan laws concerning exploiting marine wealth, which specified fine against any aggressor and the confiscation of any fish.
Qassem confirmed that all detainees were treated well. They noted coastal points affiliate to Libyan navy that the boats may land at any position due to fluctuations in the sea. They also noted Tunisian navy the time of departure for all the boats, to apply needed procedures.
