The chief of the Algerian Red Crescent, Saeeda Bin-Heblees, said that her country is ready to receive possible waves of refugees from distressed neighboring countries including Libya.

She told Al-Khabar Algerian newspaper that the institution won’t spare efforts to help anyone who flee oppressing conditions in their countries to take refuge at Algeria, including African, Syrian or Libyan refugees.

She explained that the south east Algerian provinces along the Libyan borders are developing work plans in the border crossings, in case of military intervention in Libya.

She added that the Algerian authorities instructed the Ministries of health and social solidarity, and authorities of Illizi, border province with Libya, to start the humanitarian work in the event of war in Libya.
