Foreign ministers discuss Libya in Munich

Political and security developments inside Libya, especially the formation of the Government of National Accord (GNA), beside the fight against the Islamic State (IS) were main topics discussed during Libya meeting convened on the sideline of Munich security conference.

The meeting was attended by the United Nations envoy, Martin Kobler, and the ministers of Germany, United States, Italy, France, and Egypt, as well as the Higher Representative of Foreign Policy in the EU, Federica Mogherini, and the head of the House of Representatives (HoR), Ageela Saleh.

Kobler said that the attendants confirmed their unconditioned support to Libya, and the need to have unity government, which should be endorsed by the HoR to resolve the challenges faced by Libya and end Libyans suffering.
