The head of the Department of Communicable Diseases in the Al-Jomhoriya hospital of Benghazi, Mohammed Bo-Shaala Al-Araby, said that the hospital has no potential to face serious diseases like swine flu, AIDS and hepatitis epidemic and other infectious diseases.
Al-Araby said that many cases ill of contagious diseases arrive on daily basis, while only diagnosis can be presented to most them, Libya News Agency reported.
He confirmed that epidemic cases are curable when medical supplies are available.
Al-Araby elaborated that situations are becoming worse, since last October, adding that the hospital moved its headquarters after it was located in Al-Sabery in 2014, due to conflicts.
He also expressed discontent with the situations of the department including shortage of medicines and lack of a private headquarters.
