Elwood: The IS is the greatest threat to Libya’s future on the long term - Internet

The British minister for Middle East affairs, Tobias Ellwood, uncovered on Wednesday that planes of his country’s air forces flew over Libya, denying any intentions for sending troops to Libya.

In front of the foreign affairs committee of the parliament, Elwood confirmed that London will support forming the Government of National Accord (GNA) in Libya that is capable of fighting the Islamic State group (IS).

He confirmed that London will inspect any demand of military help by the government, adding that the IS is the greatest threat to Libya’s future on the long term, while the current stage dictates no clear danger”, he added.
