Egypt repatriates 35 citizens from Libya


Egypt announced that it successfully freed 35 Egyptians, who were held in a shelter for illegal migrants for different accusations in Misrata, Al-Khoms, and Al-Garabolly in east Tripoli.

The ambassador, Hesham Al-Naqeeb, assistant to the Foreign Minister for consulate affairs and Egyptian abroad, said that 8 women and 2 girls, accused of begging, were amongst the released group.

The group was taken in a bus on Wednesday morning in Al-Garabolly to Ras Ejdair land port to arrive in Tunisia by Thursday morning to fly back to Egypt.

Al-Naqeeb asked Egyptians in Libya to be careful and keep distance from conflict areas, renewing travel warning.
