Kerry: unity government is close in Libya

The United States Foreign Minister, John Kerry, said Libya is very close to form unity government, but warned against the Islamic State (IS) desire to control oil wealth.

The IS attacked number of oil installations across the country, and established foothold in Sirte exploiting power vacuum.

Kerry added, Tuesday in Rome “in Libya we are about to form unity government, that country has many rich resources, the last you want is fake succession can take advantage of the billions of dollars in oil revenues”.

Presidents and ministers of 23 states are convening in Rome to discuss efforts to drive the IS out from Syria and Iraq, and stop it from expanding in Libya.
